My True Love
It's been a long time since I've written. I have been spending my time writing my new novel, "On Echo Lake" for Amazon.com/Kindle. I'm anxious to start another book, but I have to have an inspiration first. My last inspiration was a girl who was a server where my husband Stewart and I live. She was pretty and had a winning way about her. I thought how neat it would be to pair her up with a young guy who visited his grandmother here. And from that inspiration the idea became a book. It was fun to include events of Hendersonville, and of things that were happening globally.

Little Giants: Happy Thanksgiving
Little Giants: I thought I was going to a Christmas affair this afternoon, but then double checking I found it to be next Saturday. I have to double check everything, especially my spelling. I know which letter to hit, but my fingers have a mind of their own and strange words come out. I have been thinking about writing another book. Thank God for spellcheck!
We've started a budget. Grocery money goes in the jar on the table. When its gone ,its gone. You probably don't remember, but that's the way it was way back in the first depression. We won't starve though because we go to the Dining Room every night for dinner .
I'd better start making some notes for my anticipated book.B'ye Esther

Happy Thanksgiving
Yesterday's Life Journal reading Matthew 14 talked to me. Jesus was in deep anguish over the death of John the baptist, and how he died. He needed to be alone in his grief, but the people crowded in.
Setting that aside because of his compassion for them, he was there for them. He was able to bring about the great miracle of feeding the 5,000 because of the power within him. I venture to say that power was enhanced by the great strength of grief that was within him at that moment. He later went back to the mountain to be alone.
I am thankful for the people who are feeding multitudes this Thanksgiving Day.

Little Giants: .
Beautiful day, Good friends..I'll tell you what happened last night. As I got out of the car I shut the door too soon and the bottom edge gouged my leg. It bled and hurt like crazy. At home I doctored it and changed the dressing twice in the night. It still needs to be covered but is better. Be careful.
Also I printed out a warning about cell phones. If you have them on when you are pumping gas they can cause an explosion-No kidding!
We are having Thanksgiving dinner here at the Retirement Center with three other couples. We eat with different ones now and then to get to know each other better. Most have led a fruitful life. Many are well traveled and have interesting stories.
My chore tonight is to list all the things I need to tell my endocrinologist when I see him this week. You have a good one-Esther

Think On This
As people start thinking about Christmas it is a happy occasion.
Reading the Christmas story I realized how I had been swept by the age old presentation. I even have a nativity scene, but here's the truth.
Matthew 2:10 says, "The wise men brought their gifts for Jesus to the HOUSE where he was."
How about that.! Even still, knowing the truth, I'll display my manger.and go along with tradition.
I just watched a U-Tube video of my grandson, who is in San Francisco, doing an interview with a financial reporter. I'm proud that he is doing well.
I'm reading the second book by my neighbor, Exie Henson. Its about her mother's life in these mountains.
Time for supper. 'Bye, Esther

Good Morning Y'all. I didn't know if anybody was reading my blogs, but someone commented last night. Its encouraging. Hust a "Hi" will do.
Anyway I'll have to confess that at my age I'm still learning. Remember those hymns that talk about the mansions in heaven. I always pictured them as having majestic pillars and red carpets, situated on the streets of gold.
I was shocked when it was revealed to me that our "house" is our glorious eternal state, as compared to the present "tent" we live in.
On the reality side of my life my friend served some soup for lunch. Her English friend said, "What is it?
She said :Its"Bean soup." He emphatically said, "I don't care what its been, what is it now?"
